As Print-ready as Possible

PrintFirm recommends the use of templates when uploading your designs to our website. A correctly filled out business card template reduces the probability of problems when we print your design, and ensures that your design intent matches the print-ready file that we upload to the printing machine. Our business card templates are designed to be sorted by size and then file type, and then you can download the template. File types are the common graphic files that PrintFirm accepts for file uploads. These file types include PDF, JPEG, TIFF, etc.

If you want one of our in-house graphic artists to design your business card, templates are not necessary since our designers will be handling the graphic files. If you want to check your design that our artists have created before it is printed to make certain your design goals have been met, you can get an electronic proof of the design from the business card drop-down menu. Select “Yes” on the “Proof” menu item, the last standard menu item on the list. Once this has been selected and we finish with your design, PrintFirm sends you a PDF file showing the artwork along with the crop marks for the business card design. After you have placed your order and selected all menu item options except for electronic proofing, you can still ask for proofing by emailing us or calling us by phone. However, this request can only be honored if you contact us before we have loaded your design into the machine in preparation for immediate printing.
