Frosted Plastic Cards- Clients often wonder what the difference between frosted and clear plastic is. A better way to describe the frosted product would be translucent or semi-transparent. In other words, the business cards aren't completely see through, although you'll be able to see your fingers when you hold a card in your hand. This item comes on durable 20 pt. translucent plastic with a matte finish.
Clear Plastic Business Cards- Our cheap clear cards are fully transparent as the name suggests. When you hold a clear card, you'll be able to see your fingers clearly right away. Of course, these business cards come on thick 20 pt. clear plastic with stylish round corners.
Cheap Plastic Business Card Design Tips
Our cheap plastic business cards are an excellent choice as long as you pay close attention to your artwork. The background may cause problems if your design contains white text or images. We don't print with white ink, so we recommend using colored text whenever possible. If you must use white, there are a few things you need to be aware of depending on the type of card you want to order.
White text won't show up on the white cards unless there's a dark outline, such as a stroke or outer glow around it. Another option would be to put the words inside of a dark shape i.e. circle or square to create contrast. Since we don't print with white ink, the frosted plastic and clear plastic cards present a real problem for white copy. All white areas in your design will be the same color as the background i.e. translucent or transparent. The text outline does not work very well in these cases, so it's best to simply substitute for a dark color unless the background doesn't bother you.
