Desk Calendars

The following desk calendar printing tips should help you improve your calendar campaign strategy.

1. Use high resolution images: PrintFirm recommends a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch) for desk calendar printing. Lower resolutions may look fine on your computer screen, but the printed result will be a fuzzy mess. Use caution when adapting images found online because they are typically low resolution. To check the DPI of a graphic file, open it in a reputable design program.
    
2. Vector-based design: Flatten any transparencies in vector-based graphic design programs before sending us the design files. Results from vector-based design programs such as Adobe Illustrator can create problems during desk calendar printing. Transparencies are caused by shadows, glows, and other transparent objects. PrintFirm can often correct for unflattened transparencies, but we cannot guarantee this and should not be held responsible for any related errors that happen.
    
3. Bulk is best: A large order for desk calendar printing is a better financial decision (if you can afford it) as opposed to several smaller orders. Offset printers such as PrintFirm require initial resources for each job setup, but once the design is loaded into the printing machine, the cost per copy decreases as the number of copies increases.
    
4. Full color for the win! Viewers expect full color for desk calendar printing. Black and white or 2-color designs aren’t considered attractive enough by the average person. Moreover, full color allows you to include a large variety of professional photographs.
