Before uploaded any images to our website, be certain the graphic files have a resolution of at least 300 DPI (dots per inch). Lower resolutions may look fine on your screen, but the printed results are typically an unprofessional mess. Use caution when attaching images found on the internet because they are typically poor quality. To check the DPI of an image, load it into your favorite graphics program and you should see a DPI measure along with the other file details.

Allow for bleed space. Because of the offset printing process that cuts the business cards, this method uses a small margin of error to avoid border printing mistakes. Usually, 1/8 of an inch is enough bleed. Extend your design about 1/8 of an inch past the design borders of the business card.

Choose a durable paper. PrintFirm offers a durable 14-point card stock with your choice of a more reflective UV coating that repels dirt and moisture, or a non-UV matte finish that is easier to write on with a pen or pencil.
