Paper Fun Truck Spreads the Joy of Paper in Los Angeles!

Hello inkheads! Today my friend Dana, the marketer behind the bodacious bison at Dakota Press, brought my attention to one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen—the Paper Fun Truck from Domtar Paper company!

The Paper Fun Truck by Domtar Paper

Well, actually Dana discovered the pulpy vehicle about a month ago on Twitter. The fine folks at Domtar Paper Company created the truck as part of the award winning Paper Because campaign that promotes print media and sustainability. Paper Because also shares the Two Sides US mission of dispelling myths about the environmental impact of paper production and usage.

The Paper Fun Truck project put a unique twist on the dialogue by emphasizing the sheer joy of the tactile experience. The colorful truck rolled around Los Angeles making stops at schools, retirement centers, and other public places to pass out tons of print goodies. Passersby received a variety of generous gifts, including markers, notebooks, books, and more. Yours truly is pretty bummed about missing out on this fiberous action—I’ve already started lobbying for a repeat visit to the Canoga Park area here in the San Fernando Valley so I can take photos for you guys. Feel free to assist me by tweeting requests with the hashtag #paperfuntruck.

After you watch this teaser video, be sure to let us know why you love to create with paper. Enjoy!
