- Envelope Printing
While it may appear that your company’s envelope design is less important than other paper products bearing your company’s name, that may not be the case. While it is accurate that most envelopes are thrown out soon after they are opened, that short time when the outside of the envelope is visible can be viewed as an opportunity to represent your company in a bold manner.
You have a choice of 1 and 2 color envelope printing, or full color envelope printing. With all of PrintFirm’s envelopes, you have a choice of the following types and sizes: #10 envelopes, #10 window envelopes, 6” X 9”, 9” X 12”, and 10” X 13”. The 1 and 2 color envelopes also have the option of a #9 envelope, and they are printed on 24 lb. white wove paper. You have 10 color choices for the first color and 9 color choices for the second color.
Our full color envelopes can be printed on 70 lb. white premium paper or 70 lb. white linen paper. The linen paper has a textured, decorative surface. Full color printing is on the front and back to give you the best looking envelope possible.
Your intended recipients and your budget should guide your choice whether to select 1 and 2 color envelope printing or full color envelope printing. Important clients will probably appreciate the full color design more.
PrintFirm allows you to create your own envelope design and upload it to our website. You can upload any of the popular graphics file types such as PDF, AI, and TIFF. If nobody in your organization is skilled at graphic design, you can select “custom design” when you place your order. Our team of talented in-house graphic artists will create a unique design. You can still upload any company logos or text to our artists and they will incorporate those elements into the design.
Make a decision regarding what information to place on the envelope before you proceed with envelope printing. Generally, a business envelope includes a logo, company name, and the return address. You may also want to include a short company motto or the company website address.
We don’t recommend that you clutter the envelope design. Too much text or graphics can give the envelope an unprofessional appearance. If you must include more information than will comfortably fit on the envelope, consider a larger envelope size. Pay attention to envelope contrast, especially with full color envelopes. Dark text on a dark background will not be readable enough. Similarly, light text on a light background will be difficult to read.
Choose a print turnaround for your envelopes. Print turnaround is defined as the number of days that we are allowed before the job is finished. A greater number of days decreases the cost and a lower number of days is more expensive.
Please consider PrintFirm for all your envelope printing needs. We believe that quality is just as important as giving discounts for quantity.
