14 pt. Glossy Cardstock, UV Front Only — high-shine face with an uncoated back you can write on. Good for price tags and care instructions.

16 pt. Cardstock, Matte / Dull Finish — heavier, non-reflective, and writable on both sides. The premium feel without the shine.
Sizes — 2"x2", 2"x3", 2"x3.5", 2"x4", 2"x5", 2"x6", 2"x7", 2.5"x2.5", 2.5"x3.5", 3"x3", 3"x5", and 4"x4". Square sizes can be rotated to print as diamonds.
Hole punch — none, or top center, top left, or top right in 1/8" or 1/4".
Corners — square, 1/8" rounded, or 1/4" rounded.
Printing — full color front only, or full color front and back.
Quantities — 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, or 20,000.

How to Set Up Your Artwork

Build in CMYK. RGB files will shift on press. Convert before you upload.

Use 300 dpi images. Anything lower will look soft at tag size, where every detail is close to the eye.

Add 1/8" bleed on any design that runs color to the edge.

Keep text 1/8" inside the trim. Small tags are less forgiving of drift than large-format pieces.

Plan around the hole. Leave roughly 1/4" of clear space where the punch lands so it doesn't clip a letter or your logo.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between 14 pt and 16 pt hang tags? 14 pt is our standard glossy stock with UV coating for shine and scuff resistance. 16 pt is thicker, has a matte finish on both sides, and can be written on with pen or pencil. Choose 14 pt for vivid color, 16 pt for a heavier, more tactile tag.
Can I write on my hang tags? Yes — pick either the 16 pt matte stock, or the 14 pt glossy with UV on the front only, which leaves the back uncoated and writable.
Do you punch the hole for me? Yes. Select your position (top center, left, or right) and size (1/8" or 1/4") when you order. You can also choose no hole punch if you're attaching the tags another way.
Do you supply the string? Tags ship unstrung. Standard 1/8" and 1/4" punches accommodate common cotton string, elastic loops, and plastic barb fasteners.
What's the smallest quantity I can order? 250 tags.
Can I get a custom size or shape? Our online configurator covers twelve standard sizes. For custom dimensions or die-cut shapes, request a quote or call 1-818-992-1005.
Will I see a proof before printing? You can request a free PDF proof at checkout. If you skip it, we still review your file and will contact you if we find a problem. Note that requesting a proof pauses turnaround until you approve it.
When does my turnaround start? Our cut-off is 9:30 AM Pacific. Files approved after that start on the next business day.
